UNITED KINGDOM RESIDENCY BY INVESTMENT PROGRAM- INNOVATOR VISA

Innovator Visa- for those looking to acquire residency for spouses and children through
establishing a business in the UK. The entire application process takes around four (4) months.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You must set up and run an innovative business in the UK. This must be a business that is different from anything else in the market but can be in any sector of your choice.
  • Your business idea must be Innovative, Viable, and Scalable. You can also become a co-founder of an existing business.
  • Your business or business plan must be endorsed by an approved body, also known as an
    Endorsing Body.
  • You must meet the other eligibility requirements.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • You must show evidence of investment funds to set up the new business, the investment amount
    is determined by the cost of the business plan.
  • Your business must be viable with the potential for growth.
  • You must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English and meet the English language requirement level B2 IELTS.
  • You must be able to prove that you have enough personal savings to support yourself and your dependents while you are in the UK.
  • The main applicant will be required to spend a minimum of 185 days in the UK every 12 months.

QUALIFYING FOR INDEFINITE LEAVE TO REMAIN (ILR)

  • Initial visa will be granted for 3 years
  • At the end of this period, the applicant will be entitled to apply for an extension for a further 3 years and then be eligible for Indefinite Leave to Remain and then Citizenship. However, Innovator visa holders can apply for Indefinite leave to remain after the initial 3 years if they meet certain UK immigration/ business requirements.

PROCESS FLOW
INITIAL CONSULTATION/ DOCUMENTATION-
PHASE 1– Due diligence, an Engagement Letter is issued which explains the Scope of work,  checklist of documents required, professional and other statutory fees, and timescales.

PHASE 2- The client signs the document, an invoice is issued for payment of the initial deposit of 40%, and a receipt is issued to confirm payment. Also, the initial deposit fee is paid to the Business Consultants during this phase.

PHASE 3- Initial meeting is arranged with the Business Consultants and the client to conceptualize the business ideas and produce a business plan. The Lawyers will be part of this meeting in order to provide guidance on the immigration law requirements.

PHASE 4- The business plan takes 3-4 weeks to complete and once it is ready outstanding fee for the Business Consultants is paid. The Lawyers will then start liaising with the Endorsing Body and preparing the client’s file and the client for their endorsement interview. All relevant documentation
is requested and processed by the Lawyers.

PHASE 5- The business plan is approved by endorsing body and an endorsement letter is usually
issued 48 hours after the interview. The client pays 40% of the legal professional fees. The lawyer then requests an IELTS certificate, Tuberculosis test certificate, bank statements, international passports, Marriage and Birth Certificates, etc.

PHASE 6- Completion of online visa application form with guidance from the Lawyers. Written Legal representation prepared by Lawyers as supporting documents. 20% of legal professional fees are to be paid before submission of the visa application form.
Once the visa is approved, clients are provided with all the necessary advice and information for moving to the UK and settling in the UK.
